Skinny Sweats designer Adrienne Butikofer had a brand of contemporary women’s wear before she started Skinny Sweats. She was a TFI New Labels finalist in 2008 with her eponymous label. Adrienne will be selling the few remaining Butikofer pieces and samples as well as some other fun one offs from the vault of making and selling clothing in Toronto for the past 10 years.
Canadian-born designer Kristen Laborde’s jewellery reflects women’s desire for individuality. Drawing inspiration from diverse ethnic backgrounds to shape her style, she uses materials from all corners of the globe. Laborde creates fresh eclectic handmade jewellery that stands apart from the rest. Materials such as semi-precious stones, mixed metals, industrial findings, leather and stunning beads come together to shape dynamic and uniquely elegant arrangements. Her designs have appeared in the pages of publications such as Flare, Strut, Canadian Living, Zoomer, Toronto Star, National Post as well as Toronto Fashion Week runways and on numerous television shows, including The Marilyn Denis Show and Breakfast Television. Each piece in the collection is meant to demonstrate the beauty of the human form. The evening wear line debut took place at Arts & Fashion Week in Toronto to highly positive reviews and was named one of the Top Five Designers to Watch by FASHION Magazine and Top 10 Designer by BlogTO. Skinny Sweats is a lifestyle brand of mostly bottoms, designed and manufactured in Toronto. The brand began in 2012 with a singular style- the Basic Skinny Sweat, and has grown to include many signature designs like Trouser Sweats, Slash Sweats, printed leggings and other fashion forward and fun basics.
