Local Buttons Distilled Trunk Show
Toronto-based refurbished clothing line, Local Buttons is holding a trunk show this coming Thursday, July 19th to help send them off to their next trip to Haiti.
Designed in Toronto and produced in Haiti, Local Buttons is a sustainable social enterprise from Consuelo McAlister (who was the runner-up of the Eveleen Dollery Award at this year’s Passion For Fashion Awards) and Anne Pringle. Their ethical and eco-friendly clothing line is created from second hand clothing and sewn in Port-au-Prince, Haiti by sewers working for the NGO INDEPCO-an organization that pays a fair wages and upholds labour standards.
