The Red Door to Foot Heaven

A couple of months ago the awesome ladies of Rock-It Promotions invited me along to Red Door for a little treat for my tootsies. With little hesitation, I convinced my client Hailey King of Polysh Magazine to come along with me. Entering through the namesake red door, and up the stairs you get an immediate sense of being at home, with each room offering a cosy and relaxing environment.

Located inside Che Bella Spa at 10 Castle Knock Road (just north off of Eglinton Avenue West at Avenue Road), Red Door is open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 7:00pm until 11:00pm offering foot massages – something every shoe-loving gal needs. The 45-minute treatment ($55 per person, $100 per couple, and $185 for a group of four) is given by massage therapists, so you know you’re feet will be in good hands.

It was pure heaven. The treatment started with a warm foot soak (ahhhh…) then followed with a lovely massage of not only your feet, but also your legs (triple ahhhh…). After my treatment, I had a hard time standing still – my legs felt like floating jello. It was awesome.

According to the press release, “the average person walks 3,000 to 5,000 steps a day, often in stylish but not necessarily comfortable shoes.” I’m sure those who travel via public transportation in a city walk many more steps, so all the more reason to grab a few of your besties before a night on the town for a little dancing prep.Β Your tootsies will thank you in the morning.

Not only does a foot massage rejuvenate tired feet, it also offers many physical and emotional health benefits. The foot has thousands of nerve-endings and applying pressure to specific points through massage releases tension and encourages circulation throughout the body. Specific pressure points can ease stomach aches, headaches, leg pain and much more.

With its recent renovations, Red Door clients will experience one of three brand new treatment rooms. Bringing a beach-inspired serenity to a classic Victorian space, Che Bella Spa mixes in new dΓ©cor and furniture that offers a laid-back elegance with water blue accents, comfy white love seats, lush woven ottomans and dimmed lighting from hanging chandeliers. Just enter through the Red Door, put your feet up and relax! Book an appointment at http://www.red-door.info or 416-485-1225.
