Julian Roberts’ Subtraction Cutting Tour

The School of Fashion at Ryerson University is presenting a two-day event series featuring Julian Roberts, a world-renowned fashion designer, professor, filmmaker, and the inventor of Subtraction Cutting method in pattern drafting. Toronto is one of the few cities in North America that will host his tour, inspiring Canadian fashion minds on cutting, sewing and designing techniques. The event entails a thought-provoking lecture, a cocktail reception, a fashion show featuring Julian Roberts clothing, and a masterclass. Guests will be able to see Julian’s work up-close and enhance their pattern making skills. Net proceeds will support the Master of Arts (MA) degree in Fashion. June 14th

  • 6:00pm – 10:00pm
  • An hour long lecture, elegant reception with dramatic fashion show

  • 11:00am – 4:00pm
